What is the Birkman?
The Birkman is a personality assessment and more, providing information to facilitate team building, executive coaching leadership, career counseling and interpersonal conflict resolution. It combines motivational, behavioral and interest evaluation into one assessment reducing the need for multiple assessments. The questionnaire (available in many languages) is delivered on-line and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. As a certified consultant and qualified counselor, I debrief the results with you so you have a good understanding of the implications of these insights.
The Birkman identifies everyday interpersonal style – usual behavior – and unlike most other assessments, gives unique insights into underlying motivations and needs. Possible stress behaviors are also identified. Knowing the underlying motivations and the consequences of unmet needs provides a consultant with an effective way to improve workplace performance and reduce conflict. The interests component assists understanding of those activities that re-energize us both in and outside the workplace.
